Connecticut's Chief Justice retiring

Chief Justice of the Connecticut Supreme Court William Sullivan announced his retirement on Friday, and Governor Rell quickly nominated Justice Peter Zarella to fill the post. Justice Zarella faces a confirmation hearing. Please pray for everything connected with this nomination, and for God's perfect will to be done with this very important position.

Governor siding with emergency contraceptive foes, so far

Governor Rell is supporting existing law which allows religious hospitals to refuse to administer "morning after" pills which could terminate a pregnancy. This has generated predictable outrage from the usual quarters. Please pray against Senate Bill 445, and ask God to give us a culture of life in our State! Give thanks for the Governor's stance and support her in it. As we know, the anti-life forces are strident and becoming more so as they see pendulums swinging...
