A Stamford man has pled guilty to tampering with grape juice by mixing it with dishwashing detergent - an act which ended up sickening some 40 people at Calvary Baptist Church in Darien who were taking Communion. According to Channel 8,
Court records show that 44 people, half of them senior citizens, reported burning sensations in their throat, vomiting and nausea after drinking the juice.
